This orphanage has the worst conditions that we have come across in years. These orphans need food, medical care, clothing, shoes, and school supplies. SAI is doing all we can with our limited resources. SAI needs your help to improve the quality of life of these orphans. Please contribute, every dollar counts for these orphans. Help us, help them! South America Initiative has been able to incorporate a personal trainer who visits several of the orphanages twice a week, providing physical fitness. The children have a complete exercise routine. Physical fitness provides a fundamental role in the orphans physical and mental health.

The SAI food distribution program has successfully distributed food, medicines, and medical care to five orphanages in Venezuela since November 2022. In the three-month period from November 2022 to February 2023, the SAI Food Distribution Program provided 9,850 meals of nutritious food  including cornflour, oatmeal, spaghetti, wheatflour, rice, black beans, protein, eggs, tuna, various types of fruits (bananas, watermelon, papaya and pineapple), and different kinds of vegetables (onion, tomatoes, potatoes, cilantro and carrots). This generous contribution has improved the quality of life for hundreds of orphans in need.  Due to the ongoing political and economic crisis in Venezuela, many orphanages cannot provide basic necessities such as food and medical care for their children. The national government needs to provide more assistance to these vulnerable orphanages, leaving it to organizations like ours to step in and help! Through your donations and support, we are making a massive difference for these children in need. SAI medical team visits each orphanage and provides vital medical care to ensure all orphans are healthy.  We provide free medical care, medicines and vitamins. The medical care allows orphans to grow up healthy and happy!

SAI medical program has provided no cost medical care to over 400 children in the past three months in Venezuela. SAI is providing medical care to children from low income families who do not have the ability to afford medical care. In addition, SAI medical staff visits different orphanages each week providing medical care to the orphans. Children are receiving full medical examinations, vitamins to boost the immune system, and medications.  Magaly is a young pregnant woman with three kids. Each of the children received an examination from the pediatrician.  Magaly was given a prenatal examination, ultrasound, pregnancy vitamins and suppplements. Since January, over 50 expectant mothers received medical examinations, ultrasounds of their babies, vitamins and supplements to boost the health of the mother and child in the womb.  Our medical team and pediatrician partners have been supporting and improving the health and well-being of children, teenagers, families, and all communities. We are maintaining our biosecurity protocol to keep our patients and community safe. Most of our campaign has been focused  on detecting chronic diseases at early ages. Due to low income and malnutrition of pregnant mothers, the high rate of neuropathology diseases in newborns has increased drastically in Venezuela. After our pediatrician evaluation, some children were referred for specialized examination that include laboratory testing, EKG, and kidney functions. Thanks to your support, we are saving the lives of mothers' and children. Your support has made an enormous impact for families and orphans in Venezuela.
